Flowering Quince

A dense, semi-deciduous shrub with glossy foliage. Showy, white flowers tinged with green appear on bare branches from late winter. Gold-green fruit that can be used to make preserves follows after flowering. Ideal as a hedging or screening plant, and often used as a cut flower in winter when flowers are scarce. Prefers full sun to part shade, prune by one-third immediately after flowering to encourage new growth.
