Comfrey has reputed medicinal value used traditionally for healing bone fractures. The black, turnip-like roots can be used to accelerate the breakdown of compost.

  • Position: Full sun

Comfrey Fertiliser:

½ Bucket of fresh Comfrey foliage

1 Bucket water

Steep cut leaves in a bucket of fertiliser for 4-5 weeks. The liquid will become quite dark with an odour. The fertiliser tea can then be used to feed garden plants and seedlings providing an organic fertiliser rich in nutrients.
