Curry Plant

NZ$7.99

Curry Plant is grown for its ornamental value and the distinctive curry-like aroma of its foliage. It has striking silver leaves and produces yellow flowers in summer from which oil is extracted for medicinal purposes. The oil is also used as a fixative in perfumes.

Curry plant oil is reputed to have anti-inflammatory and fungicidal properties and may sooth burns and raw, chapped skin. Whilst foliage can be added sparingly to food, it only imparts the slightest hint of curry flavour.

  • Position: Full sun

  • Planting: 60cm - 80cm apart.
